Stoves arrive at the kitchen.
The Market working group builds the private sector that finally lets a Tier-3 stove arrive at a Somali kitchen, get installed by a certified technician, and stay working a year later. MSME incubation. Distributor matchmaking. Carbon-finance pooling. Women-led enterprise. Last-mile logistics. This is where the policy floor becomes a stove on a stove rack.
A subsidised stove that nobody installs is a warehouse problem, not a kitchen solution.
The sector is full of donor-funded stove pallets that never reached a household — or reached one without training, and stopped working in three weeks. The Market pillar exists because cooking-fuel transition is logistics-as-much-as-policy: who delivers, who installs, who follows up at month six, who gets paid when the stove still works at month twelve.
The agenda is published.
Cohort 3 opens August 2026 with twelve seats — applications close 2026 · 06 · 30. In parallel: carbon-finance pooling launches in Q3 for member MSMEs unable to register projects individually, and the women-led distributor matchmaking programme expands to Bay and Lower Shabelle.
